You can measure success of a coaching program in two ways:
- external indicators in your environment
- internal indicators which are inherent and only measurable for yourself
External measures of success might include:
- Increased income or revenue
- More time with family
- Positive feedback from coworkers and supervisors
- Gaining a promotion at work
- Increased productivity that can be measured
- Ability to coach and lead others effectively
- Ability to lead change in an organization
The external measures should ideally be things that you are already measuring and that you can directly influence.
Internal measures of success might include:
- Positive changes in your personal awareness
- Increased awareness of others
- Shifts in thinking that promote radical thinking and proactivity
- Positive shifts in your emotional state
- Changes in motivation
- Sense of calm and peace
